Learning to learn is one of the basic pillars of education in this new century. Universities use two different approaches to train or prepare students to self-manage their learning process as the global objective of their education. The first approach involves incorporating disciplines in the curriculum to teach them techniques related to learning how to learn and develop the necessary skills. The second approach declares the development of such skills as one of the objectives of different disciplines.

Origins of AngoSAP: An Inspirational Collaboration

AngoSAP emerged as a result of intense collaboration between research teams from the Óscar Ribas University in Angola and the University of Cádiz in Spain. It was a decisive joint effort to design a project that could be of interest to Erasmus+ program evaluators.

Dr. Juan Silvio Cabrera, through his personal contact with Dr. José Ignacio Navarro, managed to establish the link with the University of Cádiz. In this initial stage, the work team was characterized by a collaborative style, group learning, and continuous improvement. The bonds among the specialists from the Psychological and Psychoeducational Care Service of the UCA were strengthened, such as Dr. Cristina Senin, Dr. Álvaro Rodríguez Mora, and Dr. María Dolores Gómez Domínguez, who responded to Dr. Navarro's call.

From the Óscar Ribas University, the efforts of Dr. Inidia Rubio Vargas, Dr. Juan Abreu Payrol, Dr. Yosvany Pedroso González, and Dr. Arnaldo Faustino were combined, who, along with Dr. Juan Silvio, worked diligently for two months to submit the proposal to the Erasmus+ platform in February 2023. After a productive and encouraging wait, in August 2023, the project was finally approved, celebrating this significant initial achievement.

In the following months, the team expanded with the inclusion of collaborators from the Faculty of Social Sciences of the RheinMain University and the other members of the Angolan consortium: University of Namibe, Lueji A'Nkonde University, and Pedagogical School of Bié. During this period, the project was refined, suggested modifications were introduced, and final approval was obtained, culminating in the signing of the agreement.

All of these background details have been essential to ensure the fulfillment of the work team's goals and lay the groundwork for new experiences in the field of psychological and psychoeducational diagnosis and guidance for students at Angolan universities. We are the continuation of this inspiring collaborative effort!

ANGOSAP.

In the world of education student development counts, so the AngoSAP project was born with the premise of thinking of its orientation and support as a different action. We want our innovative approach to student well-being, academic success and socio-emotional learning to be reflected in every aspect of our work, from specialized services to visual aesthetics. Our motto: "A hand is all you need"; it’s simple and clear and says exactly what the recipient needs to know: we’re here to support you on your educational journey. Imagine an outstretched hand, ready to provide support every step of the way. A warm, calm and serene ocean; a sea where your mind can find effective strategies while facing the different situations and turbulence that challenge you. From deep blue to light blue, each tone evokes our vision and reflects our shared commitment to individual stability and growth.
